How the results page looks is split across two homes, on purpose: the options only Fetchie uses live in Tracksies > Fetchie > Settings, under Results appearance — and the brand fundamentals (colours, corner rounding) come from the shared Designer, so search results automatically match every other Tracksies surface on your site.

Results Layout
Two choices:
- Plain list — results sit directly on the page, like a search engine. Quiet, fast to scan, lets your theme’s page background carry the look.
- Cards — each result gets its own surface with a border and shadow, using your brand colours. A little more presence, nice on sites with a strong card language elsewhere.
Both layouts show the same content — title, breadcrumbs, snippet, extra passages — this is purely about the frame around them.

Breadcrumb Style
The breadcrumbs line under each result title (the page’s place on your site) can render three ways:
- Normal
- Bold
- Italic
The size and font come from your site — this setting only changes the emphasis.
Click Save settings after changing either option. Appearance changes apply immediately on the next page load — nothing needs rebuilding, since the index and the way results look are entirely separate.

Colours and Corners Come From the Designer
You won’t find colour pickers on Fetchie’s Settings tab, and that’s deliberate. The results page draws its colours, border radius and shadows from your Tracksies > Designer brand settings — the same ones every Tracksies plugin uses:
- Primary colours the result title links and the search button
- Accent colours the highlight behind matched words — both in snippets and on the page itself when a visitor follows a jump link
- Surface, border and text colours frame the cards layout and the breadcrumb line
- Border radius (Designer’s UI Style options) rounds the corners of cards, forms and buttons to match the rest of your site
Change your brand palette once in the Designer and search results follow along. No second set of colour settings drifting out of sync.

Typography Inherits From Your Theme — On Purpose
Fetchie doesn’t set fonts or font sizes on the results page at all. Result titles, breadcrumbs and snippets use whatever your theme uses, so the search page reads as your site’s search page rather than a bolted-on widget. If the results typography looks off, the fix lives in your theme’s typography settings — and improving it there improves the whole site.

Why These Options Aren’t in the Designer
Fair question, since colours are there. The Designer holds settings that multiple Tracksies plugins share — change a brand colour and everything follows. Results layout and breadcrumb style are Fetchie’s alone, so they live in Fetchie’s own settings where you’d look for them. One rule, applied consistently: shared things in the Designer, plugin-only things with the plugin.
