Moderation
Control which reviews go live automatically and which wait for your approval. Settings live under Trustie > Settings > Reviews.
| Setting | What It Does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Require Moderation | Forces every review into the Pending queue regardless of rating. Use this when you want to read every review before it publishes. | Off |
| Auto-Approve Threshold | Reviews at or above this star rating publish immediately. Lower-rated reviews go to Pending. Choose “Never auto-approve” to hold every rating. | 4 stars and above |
When Require Moderation is on, the threshold is ignored and every review pends. When it’s off, the threshold decides.
If the master Moderation feature is turned off entirely under Tracksies > Settings > Features, every review auto-publishes regardless of rating or threshold.
Deleting Reviews
For safety, reviews cannot be deleted directly. To permanently delete a review:
- Reject or mark as spam first — use the Reject or Spam action on the review
- Delete — a Delete button appears on rejected and spam reviews
- Confirm — you’ll be asked to confirm before the review is permanently deleted
This two-step process prevents accidental deletion from a misclick.
Spam Protection
Trustie Pro includes built-in rate limiting and flood protection. For content-based spam filtering, we recommend adding CleanTalk. Full guide: Spam Protection & Security.

Layout
Control how reviews and testimonials are displayed on your site. These settings live under Trustie > Settings > Layout.
Card Layout
| Setting | What It Does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Card Layout | Grid for equal-height cards arranged in rows and columns, or Masonry for variable-height cards that pack tight to their content | Grid |
One setting, applies everywhere — product-page reviews, the reviews page, Google reviews, testimonials, and the combined reviews page. The floating widget is always single-column and ignores this setting.
Any shortcode that renders review or testimonial cards can override the global Card Layout on a specific page by passing grid_layout="grid" or grid_layout="masonry" (or layout="..." for [trustie_testimonials]). See Shortcodes Reference for the full list.
Product Page Reviews
| Setting | What It Does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Reviews per Page | How many reviews to show before the Load More button | 10 |
| Columns | Number of columns for the reviews grid (1–3) | 1 |
| Pagination Style | How to load more reviews: Load More button or Pagination (page numbers) | Load More |
These defaults apply to the [trustie_reviews] shortcode unless overridden by shortcode parameters (limit and columns).
Reviews Page
| Setting | What It Does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Reviews Page | Which page is your dedicated reviews page (used by the widget’s “See All Reviews” link) | None |
—
Q&A
Settings for the Questions & Answers system.
| Setting | What It Does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enable Q&A | Master toggle for product Q&A | On |
| Auto-Approve Questions | Publish questions without moderation | Off |
| Allow Customer Answers | Let other customers answer questions | Off |
| Require Login | Only logged-in users can ask questions | Off |
| Questions per Page | Pagination threshold | 10 |
| Email on New Question | Notify admin of new questions | On |
| Email on Answer | Notify the asker when answered | On |
Full guide: Questions & Answers.

Review rewards (Perkie add-on)
Trustie Pro doesn’t handle review rewards directly — those are managed by the Perkie add-on. When Perkie is installed and active, it hooks into Trustie’s review approval events and awards points or coupons based on its own settings (Perkie > Earning > Review Incentives).
If you want to reward customers for leaving reviews — coupons, points, both — install Perkie alongside Trustie Pro and configure rewards there. Without Perkie, Trustie Pro still does everything else review-related; it just doesn’t send a thank-you reward.
